The Pomeranian is a small dog breed that features a fluffy coat. Their heads should be shaped like wedges, and their ears should stand upright. Their faces resemble those of foxes, and their eyes should have the shape of almonds with a dark color. The teeth of the Pomeranian should form a scissors bite. Their tails are fluffy, and they should swing them over their backs. This breed comes with a double coat that will almost always be a solid color. Pomeranian Temperament

This is an energetic breed that is eager to please its master. While the Pomeranian is an intelligent and reliable breed, they can sometimes be stubborn. The Pomeranian will get along with other dogs if it is given a proper introduction, they are known for attacking dogs that are much larger than them. These dogs are quick to bark at strangers, and this makes them excellent watchdogs. The only problem with this is that the Pomeranian will keep barking, and this can become annoying. Owners will want to train them not to do this. It is important for owners to demonstrate leadership qualities. If you donít, these dogs will not obey your commands.

Pomeranian Health Problems

These dogs have been known to suffer from heart problems, knee-cap disorders, eye infections, and dental issues. It is best for owners to make sure they feed this breed dry food so that they can keep the teeth healthy. Owners will also need to have their teeth cleaned. The Pomeranian has a maximum life expectancy of 15 years.

Pomeranian Exercise

Owners will want to make sure the Pomeranian at least has a small yard. Though they are small, they can get all the exercise they need if they are allowed to run around. They also enjoy being taken for long walks. These dogs are excellent for people who live in apartments. It is important to protect them when the weather is hot.

Pomeranian Special Grooming Needs

The Pomeranian has an elaborate coat that owners will need to brush consistently. It is best to start with the head, and part the fur and brush or comb it towards the front. While this may take a bit of time, it is simple to do, and will give your dog a beautiful look. It is also important to make sure the ears and eyes are kept clean.
