The nose should either be red, brown, or pink in color, and is dependent on the coat of the dog. The Bracco Italiano does not have a well defined chin. The upper lips should be highly developed, and they should slightly cover the lower jaw. The eyes should be a dark brown color, and the teeth may have a scissors bite.

The Bracco Italiano is one of the oldest dog breeds in the world. While it is recognized in the United States, it is not well known outside of Italy.
